Thanks - been searching for days for a clear explanation. Not event the gimp help website explained the use of the gimp tool as well as this. Cheers mate have a bevvie on me!

I’m going to post a quick overview later on today - glad you liked it =)

And yes, I forgot to make the applet double buffered - I wrote it before I knew what is double buffering I have advanced a lot since the last update of this website - I’ll post some updates soon

Nice, so this takes an SVG, and renders it in Java? Can you give an overview of your technique?

On a side note, on my system (1.6.0_17 on Vista) the image flickers quite a bit as your scroll up and down. Is your applet double buffered?

kjv007, I wrote the tutorial without actual access to linux (I did it from my memory), so it may have a problem as you say…
I’ll look at it tomorrow and fix the tutorial. Thanks for your correction - I appriciate it =)
I forgot to write the Program1.c file
